Role

Who You Are

You are a meticulous and detail-oriented contractor keen to work in a dynamic technical support team. You have a strong understanding of building control processes and can efficiently handle financial transactions and document management. You are customer-focused and possess excellent communication skills.

What the Job Involves

The role involves working with the Building Control Technical Support team to:

  • Process income received through fees and charges, including raising invoices for services provided to external clients and internal departments, ensuring diligent adherence to Council processes and financial regulations.
  • Handle end-to-end processing of Building Control applications, contraventions, and dangerous structures, ensuring all are logged, validated, and registered, and that casework is handed to appropriate officers.
  • Ensure document retention practices are compliant with GDPR and Council Retention Policy.
  • Issue statutory documents, such as Completion Certificates.
  • Process competent persons data for Local Land Charges service users.
  • Respond to customers and applicants using Building Control services.
