Who You Are
An experienced Senior Social Worker with a minimum of three years' direct experience in local authority children social care. You have a deep understanding of legislation and statutory guidance relevant to children, young people, and their families. You are capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative and autonomously managing complex tasks and risks.
What the job involves
In this role, you will provide an effective and responsive service to children, young people, and their families during emergency situations outside of regular office hours. You will assess the urgency of referrals, decide on immediate actions, and ensure efficient communication and handover to daytime services. Your responsibilities include chairing child protection strategy discussions, attending medicals when needed, liaising with partner agencies, and managing cases involving vulnerable children and young people. You will maintain clear and concise records using IT systems and ensure compliance with the council's safeguarding and safety policies.

- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
