What the Job Involves
As an SEN Duty Coordinator, you will provide crucial support to ensure that statutory duties relating to the assessment and placement of pupils with special educational needs are carried out efficiently. You will not typically hold a caseload but will be deployed to support the service during times of high workload or staff absence. Your responsibilities include coordinating assessments, overseeing transitions between educational phases, contributing to EHCPs, and supporting team development. You will engage with children, young people, families, and multiple agencies to ensure needs are met and target outcomes are achieved.
