Who You Are
You are an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with strong knowledge of mental health legislation such as the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Care Act 2014. You hold a relevant social work professional qualification (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and have prior experience working in mental health, with the ability to manage and prioritize complex workloads. You possess excellent communication skills, capable of conversing with the public in accurate spoken English, and adhere to principles of equality and diversity. What the Job Involves
This role focuses on providing effective and responsive emergency services to vulnerable adults and their families outside office hours, including statutory functions under mental health legislation. You will carry out comprehensive assessments, risk management, and assertive decision-making to minimize hospital admissions and promote independence and recovery. The role requires collaboration with ASC groups, external agencies, and stakeholders to deliver integrated service provisions, ensure risk assessments are robust, and contribute to the organization’s objectives effectively. Regular professional supervision and engaging with professional forums are essential aspects to ensure quality practice and ongoing professional development.
