Who You Are
You are an experienced and skilled arborist with a strong passion for maintaining and enhancing natural spaces. You have a proven track record of working alongside stakeholders to ensure that parks and open spaces are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming. Your background includes driving and towing experience and ideally holds relevant qualifications in arboricultural practices.
What the job involves
The role involves working with Enfield Council and its stakeholders, including contractors, partners, and users, to ensure that the parks and open spaces throughout the Borough are attractive and safe. You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy tree stock across various settings, including country parks, urban parks, and open spaces. The job requires practical engagement in tree surgery and maintenance operations.
Skills
- CS30.1 - Chainsaw Maintenance
- CS30.2 - Cross-cut and stack small diameter using chainsaw
- CS31 – Fell and Process small trees
- CS38 - Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue
- Understanding of relevant tree management legislation
- Full Driving Licence with C1 / C1E / BE entitlement
- Experience as a tree surgery specialist
- CS39 – Use a chainsaw from rope and harness
- Desirable: First aid, Lantra/City & Guilds Stump Grinding and Wood Chipper operations, MEWP & Chainsaw use, Street works Signing Lighting and Guarding, PA1 & PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides
This role offers a pay of £16.79 per hour.
