As a dedicated professional working with Enfield Council, you are passionate about ensuring parks and open spaces are well-maintained, clean, safe, and inviting. You have experience in tree management across country parks, urban parks, and open spaces. You are comfortable collaborating with contractors, partners, and park users to uphold a high standard of outdoor environments.
What the Job Involves
This role involves the maintenance and management of tree stocks across the borough's parks and open spaces. You will be responsible for ensuring these areas are always appealing and safe for public use. Your duties will include performing tree surgery, maintenance, and possibly partaking in tree rescue operations. The job pays £16.79 per hour (paye) starting on day one.

- Driving and towing experience
- Tree surgery and chainsaw operation
- Chainsaw maintenance (CS30.1)
- Cross-cutting and stacking timber (CS30.2)
- Felling and processing small trees (CS31)
- Aerial rescue operations (CS38)
- Use of chainsaw from rope and harness (CS39)
- Full Driving Licence with C1 / C1E / BE entitlement
- Interpreting and applying tree management regulations
- Significant practical tree surgery experience
- First aid (desirable)
- Stump grinding and wood chipper operation (desirable)
- MEWP and chainsaw use in MEWP (desirable)
- Street works Signing Lighting and Guarding (desirable)
- PA1 & PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides (desirable)
