You are passionate about maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming parks and open spaces. You have a strong commitment to the health and management of tree stock across various environments, including country and urban parks. You can effectively collaborate with the council’s stakeholders, contractors, partners, and users.

What the Job Involves

This role involves working with Enfield Council to ensure the parks and open spaces in the Borough are consistently attractive and well-maintained. You will be responsible for managing tree health across different spaces, requiring expertise in tree surgery and park maintenance. Driving and towing duties are part of the job, alongside engaging with contractors and partners to uphold park standards.

• Driving and towing experience
• Chainsaw maintenance (CS30.1)
• Cross-cutting and stacking timber (CS30.2)
• Felling and processing small trees (CS31)
• Aerial rescues (CS38)
• Interpret and apply legislation and codes
• Full Driving Licence with C1 / C1E / BE entitlement
• Tree surgery practical experience
• Use of chainsaw from rope and harness (CS39)
• First aid (desirable)
• Stump Grinding Operations (desirable)
• Wood Chipper Operations (desirable)
• MEWP & Chainsaw use in MEWP (desirable)
• Street Works Signing Lighting and Guarding (desirable)
• Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1 & PA6) (desirable)
