Who You Are
We are seeking an arboricultural professional to join our thriving tree service. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in urban areas, ideally in carrying out tree inspections, surveys, diagnosing tree defects and diseases, and specifying remedial works. You have a solid understanding of tree legislation and the use of tree decay detection equipment. Your role requires excellent communication skills to engage with Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. A positive individual with personal drive, initiative, and a willingness to learn and improve will thrive in this role.
What the Job Involves
As an arboriculture officer, you will lead the management and inspection of the Council’s tree stock, focusing on risk management and providing specialist arboricultural advice. Your responsibilities include issuing work to our Contractors and In-house tree service, and you must be prepared to manage a broad range of duties not directly related to arboriculture, such as financial management, general administration, member’s enquiries, and contract management.
