Who You Are
As an experienced Social Worker, you bring at least three years’ experience in local authority children's social care. You possess a thorough understanding of current legislation and are committed to safeguarding children. Your role requires adaptability in dealing with complex cases and a focus on relational practice to ensure the best outcomes for disabled children and their families.
What the Job Involves
This role involves providing assessment, care management, and social work services to disabled children and their families. You will be part of the Cheviots Children's Disability Service, managing care plans, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring service delivery aligns with best practices. The job requires participation in team meetings, delivering reports for legal proceedings, and working flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Degree in Social Work, HPCP registered
- Knowledge of child development and relevant legislation
- Excellent English and computer literacy for case recording
- Strong communication skills with children and families
- Experience in culturally diverse settings
- Experience in MASH or extensive assessment and CP experience
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Skill in analyzing information and family contexts
