Job Description: Lawyer (Adults Safeguarding)

What the Job Involves
As a Lawyer specializing in Adults Safeguarding, you will:
- Manage a legal caseload pertaining to adult social care matters.
- Provide comprehensive legal services related to the Court of Protection, DOLs, S21A applications, and other adult care mandates.
- Support the Council's legal team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve Council priorities.
- Offer mentoring and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Engage in advocacy and consultation as needed, and undertake occasional evening meetings.
- Promote a culture of trust and improvement within the team.
Skills
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX
- 2 years of post-qualification experience in adults safeguarding legal work
- Strong oral and written communication
- Proficiency in case management and client care
- Ability to undertake legal research and provide concise advice
- Experience in legal advocacy and drafting legal documentation
- Understanding of public administrative law
