Who You Are
We are looking for a qualified solicitor, barrister, or FILEX professional with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (or 3 years pre-qualification) in adult social care legal work. You should be someone who can work collaboratively, flexibly, and constructively, while demonstrating strong leadership in line with our vision for Enfield. You will be part of a friendly and committed in-house legal team.
What the Job Involves
As a Lawyer in the Adults Safeguarding section within the Legal Department, you will provide comprehensive legal services related to adult social care, including Court of Protection proceedings, DOLs, safeguarding, homelessness, and related areas. You will manage legal caseloads, provide advocacy, and offer expert advice to support client officers in implementing Council priorities. Your role will involve research, mentoring colleagues, attending committee meetings, and occasionally covering for other team members.
