Who You Are
You are an experienced social worker with a minimum of three years' experience in local authority children's social care. Your role involves working independently, assessing and managing risks, and adapting your approach to complex cases. You are a qualified professional, holding a degree in Social Work with HCPC registration, and have strong communication skills, particularly in direct work with children and partnership with parents/carers.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker with Cheviots Children’s Disability Service, your responsibilities include conducting assessments, care management, and providing social work services to disabled children and their families in accordance with legal and policy guidelines. You will also contribute to developing the Centre as a resource for children with disabilities, manage care plans, and supervise students on placements. Your role requires compliance with financial regulations and ensuring equal opportunities, health, and safety policies are adhered to. Expect to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and liaise with multiple internal and external contacts.
Skills
- Degree in Social Work, HCPC registered
