As a highly skilled Repairs Supervisor, you will manage a team of high-performing repair operatives to ensure the delivery of superior work quality and efficient material use. You possess extensive experience in social housing, with a solid trade background. You are comfortable attending tenant association meetings and responsive to customer needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in all work activities.
What the Job Involves
Your responsibilities will include complex diagnostics and coordinating multi-trade repair projects affecting multiple properties. You will carry out pre and post inspections on tenanted properties, manage the void team to ensure timely completion of projects, and conduct tool box talks and one-on-ones with operatives. The role demands participation in an on-call rota and may require evening and weekend meetings.
Skills
- Ability to converse with customers in clear spoken English
- Understanding of building regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the construction industry and site operations
- Experience in leading and supporting trade teams
- Working knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, including handheld tech
