What the Job Involves
Your role is crucial in overseeing a team of skilled repair operatives to deliver high-quality work standards and efficient material use. Key responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, one-on-one sessions with operatives, and pre and post inspections on tenanted properties. You will manage the void team, attend evening tenant association meetings, and ensure responsiveness to customer needs. Additionally, you will perform complex diagnostics, coordinate multi-trade repair projects, and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Experience in social housing with a trade background
- Excellent spoken English and courteous communication with the public
- Understanding of building regulations and compliance
- Knowledge of the construction industry and site operations
- Leadership and support for teams of trade operatives
- Working knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in supervisory quality control post-inspections
- Ability to participate in an on-call rota (24/7 service)
