Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced Social Worker with a minimum of three years of direct employment in local authority children's social care. You possess a degree in Social Work, are HPCP registered, and have a deep understanding of child development, relevant social policy, and key legislation, with a strategic reference to safeguarding. You are committed to equality, diversity, and ensuring the needs of children are paramount in your work.

What the Job Involves

This position involves providing assessment, care management, and social work services to disabled children and their families. You will manage, monitor, and review care plans, make recommendations for service provision, and work within financial regulations to maximize benefits for families. You are expected to undertake training for professional development and participate in team and practice meetings. Key responsibilities include carrying out assessments, engaging in direct work with children, and contributing to the development of a specialist resource for children with disabilities. You will also need to prepare legal documents and represent Children’s Services in Court as necessary.

  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Computer literacy for case recording and reporting
