Who You Are
As a Corporate Health and Safety Advisor, you are a highly motivated and organized individual with strong communication skills. You possess a can-do attitude and have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You hold a NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification and are a registered IOSH member. With extensive knowledge of health & safety legislation and codes of practice, you are ready to interpret these requirements practically. Your experience spans pro-active health and safety management, advising on health & safety issues, premises safety, and more.
What the job involves
In this critical role, you will manage and improve the health and safety performance of council services and employees by developing, implementing, and promoting health and safety policies, strategies, and risk management. You will act as a lead role in corporate and schools health safety management, focusing on auditing, developing, and implementing management systems. Your responsibilities include regulatory compliance, risk management, the development of performance indicators, and health and safety training.
