Who You Are

You are a passionate and committed social worker looking to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. You possess a degree in Social Work, are registered with Social Work England, and have a solid grasp of the Children Acts of 1989 and 2004, along with other relevant legislation. You are adept at carrying out comprehensive risk assessments and care planning, demonstrating exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. You are collaborative, open-minded, and respectful, thriving in a culturally diverse environment to deliver positive outcomes for children.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will undertake pivotal assessment and social work services aligned with statutory duties, ensuring the safeguarding and timely progress of cases for vulnerable children. You will engage in duties including managing care proceedings, collaborating with various teams and agencies, and representing the Local Authority in court settings. Communication and compliance with council policies and equality principles are critical as part of a dedicated team, actively contributing to Children and Family Services.

Skills

  • Degree in Social Work (Upper Second minimum)
  • Social Work England registration
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding
