Who You Are
You are a skilled and experienced LGV Technician with a substantial background in motor vehicle technology. You possess practical experience in hydraulic, welding, and electrical repairs. You're adaptable with a flexible approach to work, especially with changing work environments and shifts. You have a proven ability to work under/on vehicles in various conditions and are comfortable in confined spaces, such as accessing inspection pits via ladders. You are proficient with computer systems to record work and check vehicle histories, and you thrive as a team player.
What the Job Involves
The role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, plant, and equipment in line with legislative and health and safety requirements. You will conduct vehicle testing following VOSA regulations and ensure all maintenance work is completed to high-quality standards efficiently and effectively. You will carry out risk assessments, liaise with external suppliers, manage stock levels, provide roadside assistance, diagnose faults, and perform general electrical, welding, and fabrication work. The role also includes inspecting vehicles returning from contractors, handling MOT tests, and ensuring all equipment and workplace settings are safe and clean.
