Who You Are
You are an experienced professional with a minimum of 2 years’ direct experience working with children, young people, and their families. You possess a track record of effective collaboration with diverse communities, partner agencies, and bodies in both the private and public sectors. You excel in working with families with multiple, complex needs, conducting assessments, and formulating intervention strategies that lead to sustainable positive changes. Strong communication skills and a proficiency in IT systems are essential, as is a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Ideally, you also bring experience in complex case reviews and delivering accredited parenting programs.
What the Job Involves
As a Senior Parent Support Advisor, your role is to provide holistic assessments and coordinate single or multi-agency support packages for families. Your responsibilities include fostering partnerships with families to enhance parenting skills, delivering evidence-based programs, and managing complex caseloads. You will lead as the point of contact in the Team Around the Family (TAF) and coordinate with relevant professionals across agencies. Your major goal is to improve educational outcomes by increasing attendance and reducing exclusions while keeping thorough records and adhering to safeguarding procedures. You will also support schools with early help processes and ensure services meet the families' needs flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
