Who You Are
You are a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in child protection. You bring a wealth of experience in social work, particularly in management settings and multi-racial urban communities. You have post-qualifying advanced training in child care work and hold relevant qualifications such as CQSW. You are registered with Social Work England and have significant experience in chairing complex meetings and supervising staff. You are adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to improving child protection practices and outcomes.
What the Job Involves
The role involves leading as the independent reviewing officer for children needing protection, ensuring quality practices, and challenging planning and decision-making processes to achieve the best outcomes. You will chair child protection conferences and CIN reviews as needed, contribute to policy development, and collaborate effectively with various agencies and professionals. Additionally, you will be responsible for quality assuring cases, promoting good practices, and ensuring statutory and policy compliance. The role includes managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the service in meetings, and overseeing the development and delivery of training programs.
