Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced arboricultural professional to become an integral part of our robust tree service team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working in urban environments, with expertise in conducting tree inspections, surveys, diagnosing defects and diseases, and specifying necessary remedial actions. You should possess extensive knowledge of tree legislation and be skilled in using tree decay detection equipment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to engage with a wide range of stakeholders including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. We value personal drive and initiative, and are eager to support team members who are keen to develop and improve their skills.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will join a team of arboriculture officers focused on managing and inspecting the Council’s tree stock. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk management activities and providing specialist arboricultural advice. You will issue works to both our Contractor and In-house tree service, and engage in various non-technical activities such as financial management, general administration, handling member enquiries, and managing contracts.
