Who You Are
You are an arboricultural professional with experience working in urban areas, specifically in tree inspections and surveys. You have a good working knowledge of tree legislation and proficiency in using tree decay detection equipment. Your strong communication skills enable you to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. You possess personal drive and initiative, with a willingness to learn and improve in a dynamic team environment.
What the Job Involves
As part of the team of arboriculture officers, you will lead the management and inspection of the Council’s tree stock, focusing on risk management and providing specialist arboricultural advice. Your responsibilities include issuing works to Contractors and the In-house tree service, as well as undertaking a wide range of duties not directly related to arboriculture, such as financial management, administration, member's enquiries, and contract management. There is also an opportunity for an Assistant role, supporting the Arborist with less accountability and responsibility, guided by an experienced arboriculture officer.
