Who You Are

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about maintaining our parks and open spaces in excellent condition for our visitors. A good work ethic and courteous interaction with the public are essential.

What the job involves

This role involves maintaining over 100 parks and open spaces throughout the year, including playgrounds, countryside areas, and sports pitches. As a member of our Parks team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and safety of these areas, often working in various weather conditions, both independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance
• Basic horticultural machinery knowledge
• Understanding of Health & Safety
• Ability to take and understand clear instructions
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised
• Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker
• Minimum plant knowledge - desirable
