Who You Are
We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our Parks team. You are someone with a strong work ethic, who can work independently or as part of a team, and you possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact courteously and politely with the general public. Being prepared for physical work in all weather conditions is essential, as is having your own steel toe cap work boots from day one.
What the Job Involves
Your role will involve maintaining the high standards expected by visitors across over 100 parks and open spaces in Enfield. Responsibilities will include grounds maintenance duties, handling horticultural machinery such as strimmers and hedge cutters, and ensuring all tasks are carried out safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines. You will receive clear instructions and be part of a team dedicated to keeping our parks in excellent condition.
Skills
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance
- Basic horticultural machinery knowledge
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Ability to take and understand clear instructions
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised
- Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker
