Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced Advanced Practitioner with a deep understanding of social care, particularly in the context of children's services. With at least 3 years of permanent statutory social work experience, you engage effectively with children in care and are adept at ensuring their well-being and permanence. You possess excellent engagement skills with children and young people, and you are committed to enhancing their long-term outcomes. Additionally, you are a car driver with access to a vehicle and available to work in Liverpool, with a commitment to both onsite and homeworking arrangements.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will be part of our Permanence Team, focusing on Children in Care and Children Looked After. You will be responsible for placement and care planning, minimizing risk, and ensuring individualized, stable placements. Your work will involve close collaboration with other team members and stakeholders to improve the quality of social work practice. You will have the chance to contribute to Liverpool Children's Services' mission to create a supportive environment for children and young people, backed by a dedicated senior leadership team.

Skills

  • 3+ years of permanent statutory social work experience
  • Strong engagement and direct working skills with children
  • Methodical and organized approach to care and placement planning
  • Understanding of Corporate Parenting and related legislation
