Who You Are

You are a skilled professional with a solid understanding of plumbing and related trades. With a valid NVQ qualification or equivalent, you have extensive, demonstrable post-qualification experience and are familiar with unvented hot water systems. You bring to the table a successful track record of delivering services in customer-focused, target-driven environments and have experience with multi-trade tasks such as joinery, plastering, tiling, and painting. Health and safety compliance is second nature to you, and you are adept at using computerized data recording systems. Your communication skills are excellent, and you appreciate the diverse needs of individuals from varying backgrounds. Driven, with a valid driving license, you are ready to embody and promote the values of NCHA.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of NCHA's housing stock and services provided to external customers, maintaining high standards of excellence and quality. Your duties will include servicing and fault finding on hot and cold systems and conducting full bathroom refurbishments. You'll coordinate with other trades and colleagues to ensure seamless customer service and manage stock to prevent work delays. Efficiency and value for money are crucial, as is understanding customer needs to tailor services accordingly. Health and safety compliance is of utmost importance, and you'll keep your line manager informed of any service delivery obstacles. Relief cover and participation in an emergency standby/call-out rota form part of your duties, alongside contributing to performance standards and adhering to NCHA policies.
