What the Job Involves

As the Transport & Major Works Manager, you will lead the council’s Transport Team, managing a variety of responsibilities including transport safety, major infrastructure projects, public transport, highway structures, and street lighting management. You will lead on strategy development and be pivotal in the delivery of Slough's Local Transport Plan and supplementary strategies. Your role involves ensuring a seamless integration of resources to meet the council’s priorities, forging partnerships with key stakeholders, and driving environmental sustainability initiatives to support the council's objectives for carbon neutrality.
