A dedicated professional with significant post-qualifying experience in social care, particularly within children's services. You have supervisory experience and a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You possess a Diploma in Social Work or a related qualification and have in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and government guidance. You are proactive, collaborative, and possess excellent communication skills that enable you to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
What the Job Involves
The role requires managing a team of social workers and Personal Advisors to ensure the safety and best interests of children are upheld. You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and ensure services align with statutory frameworks and council policies. Leadership responsibilities include implementing policy changes, performance management, and maintaining high service quality. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, conduct supervision meetings, and ensure compliance with health, safety, diversity, and equal opportunity policies. This position also involves managing cases, prioritizing workloads, and leading strategic initiatives to optimize team performance and service delivery.
