Who You Are
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with experience in grounds maintenance and a good work ethic. Candidates should be prepared to work in all weather conditions and be courteous and polite when dealing with the public.
What the Job Involves
The role involves maintaining parks, green spaces, and grass verges across the Borough, as well as school grounds. Responsibilities include using horticultural machinery, ensuring Health & Safety practices, and possibly supervising others. It is a varied role requiring travel within the Borough, and candidates will work both in teams and independently, completing physical tasks.
Skills
- Experience in grounds maintenance
- Basic horticultural machinery knowledge
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Driving licence for up to 3.5-ton vehicles
- Plant knowledge (desirable)
- Previous supervisory experience (advantageous)
