To work from the Civic Centre in Newport and candidates should demonstrate: Experience of assessing and reviewing adults with learning disabilities Understanding of strengths-based and person-centred approaches Ability to work in fast-paced environments , including front door, community or hospital discharge pathways Confidence in managing complex cases and risk Effective communication and partnership working with a range of stakeholders
From the JD: Experience of working within relevant legislation e.g. Mental Capacity Act 2005. Experience of managing with competing demands of a caseload. Understanding of departmental policy and regulations in relation to protection of vulnerable adults. Experience of using Windows / Microsoft Office packages. To be committed to personal and professional development on one’s own and colleagues' behalf. Understanding of the principles of confidentiality. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with colleagues, outside agencies and clients. Ability to analyse information quickly within a coherent framework.
