Who You Are

As a Social Worker, you are committed to making a significant impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children and families. You have a degree in Social Work and are registered with Social Work England. With a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy, you are adept at risk assessment and care planning. You are an excellent communicator, capable of working collaboratively with diverse groups and committed to promoting equality and safeguarding.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will provide assessment and social work services, fulfilling the council's statutory duties under legislation and policy guidelines. You will manage casework for looked-after children, ensuring timely progression of cases and safeguarding of the most vulnerable. Your responsibilities include participating in duty teams, conducting inquiries and assessments, and engaging in Care Proceedings while representing the Local Authority in Court. You will also work within multi-disciplinary teams to identify appropriate resources and interventions for children and families.
