What the Job Involves
As an Assessment Officer within the Finance department, you will deliver professional collection and assessment services across the Assessment Hub. This includes assessing income-related benefits, processing claims and enquiries, and providing customer support. You will assist in the induction and training of staff, maintain effective customer records, engage with vulnerable customers, and work collaboratively to enhance the service's strategic approach. Responsibilities involve working under limited supervision to provide accurate, efficient, and customer-centric services while complying with Council policies and national legislation. The role is hybrid, with 20% office-based and 80% home working.
