Who You Are
You are a qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. You possess excellent communication skills and have experience in planning and highways enforcement, environmental health, or similar areas. You are someone who takes responsibility, works collaboratively, and is committed to building trust and providing value for money. You are capable of providing informal coaching and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
What the Job Involves
As a Senior Lawyer in the Legal Services team, you will handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision and engage in various legal casework activities. You'll provide comprehensive legal services to the Council, its maintained schools, and trading companies, ensuring high standards and good governance in decision making. Additionally, you will mentor colleagues, contribute to team strategy, and ensure training on legal developments. Occasionally, you may advise in public and private meetings, including committees.
Skills
