Role

Who You Are

You are a Homeless Housing Coordinator with expert knowledge in areas critical to preventing homelessness. You have experience in carrying out home visits and are well-versed in welfare benefits, the homelessness reduction act, housing and homelessness policy, and related case law, legislation, and practice. You are familiar with courts, possession orders, evictions, and possess specialist knowledge in homelessness decision-making. You also have a solid understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

What the Job Involves

As part of the Initial Assessment Team, your role is crucial in helping applicants who are threatened with homelessness or are already homeless. You will work collaboratively with partners to improve resilience and housing sustainment under Enfield’s Early Help strategy. Your focus will be on providing expert advice and working closely with stakeholders to prevent or delay homelessness, helping individuals to maintain their current accommodations or transition into suitable private rented housing. Your ultimate goal is to prevent individuals from needing temporary accommodations or ending up on the streets.
